Hi everyone! Welcome to my new blog. I spent most of my career as a Home Economist teaching at Montclair State University and Eisenhower Middle School in Freehold Township. I have a very good background in foods and nutrition that I have always kept up with. About 10 years ago when Bob and I decided to try to eliminate food additives from our diet, we discovered that our skin absorbs about 60% of the ingredients that we put on it. Hence, we found ourselves taken away with the making of handcrafted soap and skin care products. I love to teach and share experiences and provide information about food and nutrition along with natural skin care and I decided to create this blog. The blog's title "Inspired by the Natural" really ties together the two areas of study that I love. The blog will made up of short, to the point, and interesting posts with photos, about 2-3 times a week.
We will be returning to selling our products at the Hamilton Farmers Market and the Skaneateles Farmers Market. I will have lots to share about our products and how we make them. Also you will learn about the local farmers and food that we come across at the markets. We are back this summer with our favorite CSA with Main Street Farms in Cortland with our friends Bob Cat and Allan. Since I am a self-proclaimed recipe addict, I will be sharing lot of those as well!
